Aviva Reed (B.Sc, M.Env) is an interdisciplinary visual ecologist. She communicates through visualising ecology - the ecologies of nature, humans and our place in the Earth; the ecosphere. Aviva works as an artist, consultant, educator and scientist. Her practice explores scientific theories from philosophical and ontological perspectives, seeking to unravel perceived truths and invisible realities that shape our modern age. Her work explores time and scale in relation to one's self and ecology. Aviva uses installation, mini lecture series, storytelling and visual aids to communicate complex scientific ideas and evoke an ecological imagination. At Oekologie Studio, Aviva collaborates with scientists, thinkers, healing practitioners, humans and more- than- humans to create thought provoking prints for use in home, commercial design, educational settings. Aviva works within the education sector at tertiary, secondary and primary levels. She has over a decade of experience working with environmental engagement of diverse community groups. Aviva also facilitates workshops. Click here for enquires.
